Survival letterpress

Survival Letterpress was a four year endeavor that started in a one car garage and home studio that turned into a commercial letterpress shop operating out of a shared community workspace called Bonfire Space in Mission Kansas. The experience of owning this business is where I learned the most about design, business management and print. I started with one little table top press and great that to a room full of high end letterpress equipment and bindery machines. I had so many great experiences with this company and it lead to a lot of connections in Kansas City. I got to collaborate on projects with Baldwin, lead panel discussions with Aaron Draplin and work closely with companies like Sullivan Higdon & Sink and Thou Mayest. It was an amazing journey that I'll never forget and I'm thankful I still get to work with all these great machines today.
