Why We Decided to Build the Public Supply Outdoor Gear Rental App

At Public Supply, our goal is to make outdoor adventures accessible and sustainable. Our app allows users to easily rent high-quality outdoor gear, ensuring they have the best equipment for their adventures without the cost and hassle of ownership. We designed Public Supply to promote a love for the outdoors while encouraging eco-friendly living through renting.

Usability Testing and Challenges

Understanding our users, like eco-conscious hiker Lisa and budget-savvy student John, was crucial. We conducted competitor analysis and usability testing, refining our designs based on feedback. Key improvements included a streamlined checkout process and clear gear availability information, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Creating a Robust Design System and Prototyping

A robust design system and comprehensive component library enabled us to create high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes in Figma.
